| LSTM Design
The LSTM design is a longer milled slot enabling a higher open area. Depending on the layout, LSTM can provide up to 40% more open area than conventional milled slots without sacrificing integrity. A Bird M400 with 0.008" slots, for example, increase from 3.6% to 5.4% open area. |

| MacroFlowTM Design
A wedge wire based design with no welds. Screening wires are mechanically joined to provide a strong support. Therefore the joint is 2 to 3 times stronger than a conventional wedge wire cylinder. The mechanical joint allows for an excellent control of slot accuracy resulting in optimum running performance. |
