LSTM Design    

The LSTM design is a longer milled slot enabling a higher open area.  Depending on the layout, LSTM can provide up to 40% more open area than conventional milled slots without sacrificing integrity.

A Bird M400 with 0.008" slots, for example, increase from 3.6% to 5.4% open area.

MacroFlowTM  Design

A wedge wire based design with no welds.  Screening wires are mechanically joined to provide a strong support.  Therefore the joint is 2 to 3 times stronger than a conventional wedge wire cylinder.

The mechanical joint allows for an excellent control of slot accuracy resulting in optimum running performance.  

 

In addition to the LS and MacrFlow, CAE also offers their Wedge Wire design.  All of these technologies are geared toward maximizing your screening efficiency by increase the effective open area.  This increase allows you to:

  • Operate with smaller slots

  • Reduce flow velocity through the slots for improved efficiency

  • Increase your capacity
